Modern Religious Experience: Reflection #9: The Incarnation of God

Modern Religious Experience: Reflection #9: The Incarnation of God: "After viewing 'The Nativity Story', analyzing your chosen Christmas carol, and reading Philippians 2:1-7, reflect on the meaning of Christma..."

The song I chose was "O Little Town of Bethlehem". In the song Jesus is a baby. He is called the "holy", "Christ", and "Christ".
In scriptures, songs, and stories describe Jesus as the savior of all human kind. He is the son of God or sometimes referred to be God.
In the carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem" is about when Jesus was born. In the second verse of the song, it describes how Christ was born by Mary and people gathered to watch the holy child. It also says that the angel was watching over the holy birth of Jesus Christ along with a star shinning declaring the holy birth of Jesus.
Mary was a significant figure because she was the virgin mother of Jesus. She accepted what God had planed for her even though she knew the hardship that was going to face her.
Joseph is the human father of Jesus and Mary's husband. He stood by Mary and baby Jesus and protected them. He trusted Mary when she was pregnant.
I think the shepherds symbolized Jesus's future followers. Their hope and belief showed how Jesus was so significant to them and how he was going to change their lives.
Lastly the Persian astrologers and their gifts showed the big role that was expected of Jesus.
Jesus is described as the little king, savior, God, and the messiah. He was the one that was brought to the man race. He was going to be the king of the kings. This gave King Herold a threat, which made him want to get rid of Jesus.
There aren't much gods that come to earth as a form of a baby. However, Jesus came to earth as a form of a baby because King Herold. King Herold believed Jesus was to come on earth as a form of a man. Therefor to save Jesus and have him perform what God planed, God decided to send Jesus to earth in the form of a baby.
God chose to come to his creation to save them and free them of all their miss behaviors and sins.
